Restoration of all 18 greens still honors the original design of course architect Larry Packard

 PALM HARBOR, FL., November 3, 2017 – Innisbrook, a Salamander Resort has completed the renovation of the putting surface on all 18 greens on its popular North Course, one of four championship layouts at the Tampa Bay-area resort. The course officially celebrated its re-opening today with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the 18th green.

The six-month renovation process began on June 5 using a no-till method of turf replacement, resulting in a firmer, more consistent playing surface.  The greens were planted with TifEagle Bermuda Grass – the same exceptional putting surface the PGA TOUR professionals raved about in this year’s Valspar Championship on Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course.

“The North Course is re-opening with an exceptional putting surface that our guests and members will truly enjoy playing,” said Innisbrook Managing Director Mike Williams. “We never rest on our success as a nationally recognized PGA TOUR venue, and the popularity of the North Course offers yet another championship golf venue that attracts golfers from all over the world.”

The renovation project also included the conditioning of the bunkers, general maintenance and clearing of all storm canals, and some trimming and pruning to reduce shading and create access to the greens as originally designed by Larry Packard. The sizes of the greens were also expanded where shrinkage had occurred over the years, allowing for additional pin placements.

The North Course is one of four championship golf courses at Innisbrook, which is operated by Salamander Hotels & Resorts, the luxury hotel company founded by Sheila Johnson. The North Course is the second Salamander course to re-open in two days. On November 2, the Ocean Course at Hammock Beach re-opened after a 13-month restoration. Both courses are part of the Salamander Golf Collection.

 Design Refresh at Award-Winning Bradenton, Florida Course Includes 22,000-Square-Foot Clubhouse

Updates made during this recent phase, which represented a $750,000 investment, include a full interior renovation and design enhancements at the 22,000-square-foot clubhouse including the lobby, restaurant, bar, community room and pro shop. More than 500 members were invited to experience the new design, which exemplifies a contemporary coastal style, during a ribbon-cutting celebration on September 30.

The newly refreshed clubhouse inspires casual elegance with a contemporary coastal style. The fresh, timeless design seamlessly incorporates beautiful, natural elements that bridge the gap between the Club’s impressive indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests will delight in a grand entrance experience at the main lobby – with striking white stone walls, sleek floor and wall coverings, fresh new art, welcoming furniture, lustrous lighting and more. A few more exciting changes include the addition of a new 100-inch-wide, wall-hung fireplace in the bar, which is complemented by a matching 60” wall-hung fireplace in the main dining room. A 72” round contemporary crystal chandelier adds a bit of glamour to the space and illuminates the Club’s newly added, custom-designed carpet featuring a floral motif, and new tables, chairs and tableware.

“It’s absolutely beautiful! Coral Hospitality has done a great job maintaining the golf course and club here,” said Debbie Judge, Rosedale Golf & Country Club member since 2014. “The clubhouse is a gathering place on Friday nights and there is always something to do other than just tennis and golf. We are so excited about this renovation!”

Rosedale Golf & Country Club features a par 72 course with a 22,000 square-foot clubhouse with bistro patio for entertainment and enjoyment. A three-time recipient of the Bradenton Herald’s People’s Choice Awards, Rosedale also features a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, five lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, a well-appointed fitness center, and an array of exceptional activities.

This second phase of renovations at Rosedale Golf & Country Club represent part of an overall $1.5 million investment at the property since CH6 Rosedale acquired it in October 2015. LAS VEGAS – Sept. 25, 2017 – Shriners Hospitals for Children Open today revealed the tournament’s new championship trophy, The Howard Hughes Cup. The winner of this year’s PGA TOUR event, taking place October 30 – November 5 at TPC Summerlin, will take home the cup presented by The Howard Hughes Corporation®, along with $1.188 million which represents the winner’s share of the $6.8 million purse.
