America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Ranked No. 358 Based on 951% Revenue Growth for In-Home OptiShot Infrared Simulator

(TRAVERSE CITY, MI)—Dancin’ Dogg Golf—maker of the OptiShot Infrared Simulator, the ultimate in-home virtual golf system—has been ranked one of America’s fast-growing entrepreneurial companies by Inc. Magazine, placing No. 358 on the prestigious Inc. 500 list for 2011.

This honor, which appears in the September issue, is based on Dancin’ Dogg’s 951.2% revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. That increase was fueled by exceptional demand for OptiShot, a fun, accurate, affordable and easy-to-use golf simulator that allows players to improve their game from the comfort of home.

“It’s long been our goal to achieve the kind of success that justifies ranking among the Inc. 500,” says Brandon Theophilus, CEO of Dancin’ Dogg Golf. “This recognition is a tremendous achievement and testament to the fully immersive, virtual golfing experience provided by OptiShot.”

Also in the September issue, Inc. highlights Dancin’ Dogg’s significant opportunities for future growth abroad, specifically the South Korean market.

OptiShot (MSRP: $399.95) connects with Windows computers via a plug-and-play interface and requires only 8-½ feet of swing space. With their own clubs, up to four players per round can compete by hitting real balls, foam balls (provided) or no ball at all. Infrared sensors on a durable swing pad precisely record club-head speed, face angle, swing path, distance, tempo, face contact and ball flight.

An added value component of the Dancin’ Dogg experience is the recently unveiled OptiShot Support Site and OptiShot User Guide. In addition to “Top Questions” and “Frequently Asked Questions,” visitors can contact Technical Support directly through a clear and easy-to-use online template. The User Guide is a comprehensive step-by-step description of all aspects of the OptiShot experience, from installation through managing Players and customizing club sets.

Dancin’ Dogg also launched its next-generation software package in 2011. This includes two new core courses and a variety of features to enhance the user experience and facilitate skills development, such as:

–      Enhanced visual shot feedback and swing analysis
–      Detailed statistics tracking for export to an Excel spreadsheet
–      Precision putting grids to help visualize contours
–      Ability to create multiple players and manage their settings and preferences

In addition to complete courses, golfers can practice and compete on the par-3 option or a realistic driving range. Users can also purchase premium layouts at http://www.dancindogg.com.

Nike Golf Pays Tribute to the Iconic Nike Dunk Shoe with the Introduction of the Nike Dunk NG

BEAVERTON, Ore. (August 23, 2011) – There will be a familiar iconic shoe showing up on the feet of Nike Athletes Michelle Wie and Anthony Kim.  Both young athletes will be sporting the new Nike Dunk (NG) Golf shoe. Wie will debut the colorful shoes at this week’s Women’s Canadian Open and Kim will wear them in the coming weeks on the PGA Tour.

Staying true to the original Nike Dunk which was created 25 years ago, Nike Golf has kept the original last to ensure that the Nike Dunk NG feels just the same as the Dunks that people have grown to love without compromising performance for golf.  With golf specific spikes on the outsole and golf specific waterproof leather, the Nike Dunk has been transformed to perform on the course.

Keeping in line with the strong personality and attitude of the Nike Dunk, the Nike Dunk NG allows athletes to show their true colors on the course.  The energy of Soar Blue, Safety Orange, Court Green for men and Spark, Orange Glow and Mint for women allow consumers to have a bold, athletic look while coordinating with the apparel from the Nike Golf Sport Collection.

The Nike Dunk NG comes with two sets of shoelaces, allowing athletes to either accentuate the bright color of the shoe or to opt for traditional white.  With full-grain waterproof leather, the Nike Dunk NG can battle the elements of poor weather conditions.  The Scorpion Stinger Spikes ensure that traction is not an issue for the Nike Dunk NG.

This new expression of style lasted through the years and Dunks have become the prized shoes for sneakerheads as well as fashion statements for anyone looking to add vintage style to their shoe collection. Now the Nike Dunk enters golf.

ROOKIE HEDWALL TARGETS A RARE FEAT AT OMEGA DUBAI LADIES MASTERS

ROOKIE HEDWALL TARGETS A RARE FEAT AT OMEGA DUBAI LADIES MASTERS

DUBAI, Aug 21 – Rookie Caroline Hedwall stands an outside chance of completing a ‘grand double’ when the rising Swedish star makes her debut at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters to be held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein at the Emirates Golf Club from December 11 to 17.

Impressive victories at the Ladies Slovak Open and Finnair Masters and a couple of top-10 finishes have already assured the 22-year-old prodigy of the Ladies European Tour’s Rookie of the Year award and, if the script holds good, she could be in contention for the ‘Player of the year’ title as well.

Since the inception of the Ladies European Tour in 1978, only England’s Laura Davies, now a ‘golf in DUBAi’ ambassador, has the distinction of winning both the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and the ‘Player of the Year’ titles, a feat she achieved in her debut season in 1985.

“It would be nice to ice the cake with one final win in Dubai which, who knows, might be good enough to win the Henderson Money List (the official name of the Order of Merit),” said Hedwall, who is currently placed third on the list behind Japan’s Ai Miyazato (euro 363,079) and Melissa Reid of England (euro 196,410) with euro 195,817 in earnings from 14 starts in her first season as a professional on the Ladies European Tour.

“I strongly believe in destiny. If it has to happen, it will happen. I am not putting any extra pressure on me. It has been a great year and I would like to keep the momentum going,” said Hedwall, who will join Michelle Wie among other big stars in the starting line-up of the euro 500,000 event, promoted and organized by golf in DUBAi.

“I have never been to Dubai, but have seen it on TV. It looks pretty specially the (Majlis) course against the backdrop of shimmering skyscrapers. I am told by fellow golfers it’s a great place to play golf.

“The tournament is professionally run and the players are looked after well by the organizers. I am looking forward to playing in Dubai and savouring the Arabian hospitality,” said Hedwall, who hails from Osterlen, the home town of now Dubai-based Henrik Stenson.

“I think LET players are up there with the best. The very fact that LPGA players now play in Europe shows LET is becoming stronger every passing year,” said the Swede, who upstaged major champions and Ryder Cup stars by winning the inaugural PowerPlay Golf event at the Celtic Manor in Wales in May this year.

Designed to emulate the speed and success of Twenty20 cricket, PowerPlay Golf is played over nine holes instead of the customary 18 for championship golf, using the Stableford points system.

Before turning pro earlier this year, Hedwall enjoyed a successful amateur career, winning the European Team Championship in 2008 and 2010, the European Amateur Championship in 2007 and 2009, and the World Amateur Championship in 2008.

While at Oklahoma State she was the 2010 NCAA Individual Champion, 2010 NGCA Player of the Year, 2010 Golfstat Cup Winner, 2009 and 2010 First-Team All-American, and Big 12 Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010.

“The presence of Caroline will bring fresh energy to the tournament. She has already shown flashes of her brilliance on the Tour and it would be tremendously exciting to watch this special talent,” said Mohamed Juma Bumaim, vice chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi.

“She is already rated by many as the best player to come out of Europe since Annika Sorenstam and I am sure we’re going to see a lot of her in the near future.

“Sweden has a great reputation when it comes to producing world class female professional golfers. The dramatic rise of Caroline only underlines the truism. I wish her all the best and hope she keeps going strong and building on that already impressive resume.”

‘golf in DUBAi’ is backed by Omega as the title sponsor and Dubal (Dubai Aluminium) as the sponsor. The co-sponsors are: CNN, Emirates NBD, Gulf News, Jumeirah, Mercedes-Benz and Wasl while Dubai Duty Free, Carpetland and Motivate are the Patrons in golf in DUBAi’s drive to showcase the emirate’s vibrant golfing scene to a worldwide audience.

during the week, including a Proforce V2 used by the winner in his 3-wood (86 gram, x-flex).

Over the last four events, UST Mamiya placed first or second in both wood and driver shaft counts. New product introductions have catapulted an impressive progression from a fifth-place standing in wood shafts and fourth in driver shafts at the season-opening Panama Claro Championship.

Continuing the trend of strong showings for UST Mamiya users, the winner carded four rounds in the 60s at Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield, MO, to capture his first Nationwide victory. The win adds to the company’s list of titles this season, which include six on the PGA Tour.

“Pat Dempsey, our Nationwide Tour representative, has excelled in educating players on how our shafts will enhance their performance with clear benefits,” adds Schikner.
Likened to the precision of Lexus automobiles, all UST Mamiya carbon-fiber shafts are made using handcrafted, repeatable production techniques that incorporate world-class engineering and premium-selected raw materials. Tight tolerances, constant taper design and low-resin content combine to enhance feel during the golf swing.
